Born in the Bronx, New York, I grew up during the Golden Age of Hip-Hop in the borough that started the phenomenon. Having experienced firsthand some of the desolate situations and social crises that gave birth to the dissemination of this art form, I carry with me a unique and focused perspective and aim to utilize art in its many forms for the uplifting and improvement of the community. My artistic interests have led me to pursue a variety of educational opportunities, including the completion of independent art study courses at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Students League of New York, and the School of Visual Arts (SVA). Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of TheXCollective, a 501(c)3 nonprofit artist collective whose mission is to use creativity, resourcefulness, and innovation to inspire and create societal change, personal empowerment, and social justice in the Bronx and beyond.
